Our Ministries

To love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength...

Worship: We believe God is "seeking those who worship Him in Spirit and truth" (John 4:23). Our Sunday morning worship service follows our 9:30 AM Sunday school at 10:45 AM and has a four part structure: we Enter God's Presence with music, praise and prayer, Offer Our Gifts, Reflect on God's Word through scripture reading and sermon, and Depart in the Peace of the Lord. Communion is served the first Sunday of each month. We have both a choir and praise teams who lead us in hymns and choruses.

Prayer: We commit ourselves to prayer to show our trust in and dependence on God in all areas of life. A weekly prayer group meets on Thursday at 7:00 PM. We also have a prayer chain for emergencies and a 24- hour prayer chain to pray for the ongoing needs of our church, community and world.

To love our neighbors as ourselves...

Caregiving and Outreach: We believe that our love for Christ finds expression in our love for those around us. Some members of our congregation are trained as Stephen Ministers, who come along side those with a need for a special counselor and friend to help them through a time of crisis. Other members visit the hospitalized and shut-ins, serve as Parish Nurses, organize a food pantry, offer counsel through Recovery Groups, minister to prisoners and their families through Prison Fellowship Ministries, provide low-cost housing through Habitat for Humanity, organize teams for the American Cancer Society's annual Relay For Life walk-a-thon, provide meals during periods of illness, or use their needlework skills to provide gifts for seafarers and the homeless through Interfaith Stitchers.

To go into all the world....

Missions: We reach out to our community and world through local and global mission efforts, sharing the Good News in word and deed at home, in our community, and in our world. Our congregation actively supports career and short-term missionaries around the world, in addition to numerous denominational, parachurch and local ministries of compassion. The Missions Committee also hosts visiting missionaries throughout the year, organizes an annual missions conference, and sponsors group short-term missions trips.

...and make disciples of all men.

Education: We study the Word of God so we may know God and follow after His ways, offering ongoing learning through our education ministries. Our commitment is to help people of all ages continue to grow in relationship to Christ and one another, through our Sunday School classes, Bible studies, Alpha groups, discipleship groups, small groups, and church library resources.

Life-long Growth:
Children: We are intentional about providing safe and fun opportunities for children to learn about God's love for them. This includes infant and toddler nurseries during worship and Sunday School, Children's Worship for ages 3-1st grade during the worship hours, Sunday School classes for ages 3 and up, Wednesday evening Clubs for 1st - 6th grade, Vacation Bible School, and other events throughout the year.

Youth: We actively seek to introduce Jr. and Sr. High youth to God's love, compassion, and faithfulness, to deepen their faith and to provide opportunities for them to serve the Lord in a variety of ways. Our programs include weekly and biweekly Bible studies, outreach activities, social activities, retreats, missions trips, Jr. High Confirmation, youth worship services, a youth praise band, and a puppet ministry.

Women: The Woodstock Covenant Women's Ministry Team encourages spiritual growth in Jesus Christ through the Flock shepherd groups, which provide Bible study, prayer, ministry and friendship. Our Women's Ministry Team also provides opportunities for service and missions projects and coordinates women's events and retreats.

Men: Our Men's ministries include Bible studies, Promise Keepers, weekly men's breakfast, annual Lenten Breakfast, Men's Hoops, and other events throughout the year.
